Introduction
Dongping Han grew up during the Mao Era’s Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution. I have had the honor to meet him and have interviewed him on my show several times (https://radiosinoland.com/search/?q=Dongping). He’s the real deal!
When he saw this article below that I posted, he wrote the China Writers’ Group the following pithy, hard-hitting comment,
Zhu Rongji was many things. He was responsible for widespread, official corruption in China. His own two children became the richest in China and Asia. Everyone of the bank chiefs he promoted ended up in prison. He was responsible for the laying off of thirty million workers in state-owned enterprises. He was responsible for the so called reforms in education, medical care and housing. With his reforms, poor people could not afford education, medical care and housing anymore. The polarization between the rich and poor began to expand. If you ask common workers and farmers, they say that he deserves a bullet.
OUCH!!!

Note: my family and I lived in China when Zhu Rongji was Governor of the People’s (Central) Bank of China. Interesting times, indeed…
