Chua’s comment about needing to include Hong Kong in China’s stats is very valid. Hong Kong was returned to the Mainland in 1997 and is governed by Baba Beijing.

Interesting facts and figures 
they shouldn’t have seperate Hong Kong import and export figures from China as Hong Kong is a part of China, it’s not a country. So, when we add up the data of both china and Hong Kong imports and exports, China real export figure is over $4.5 trillion, more than doubled of USA , and import is $3.432 trillion, almost at par with US import of $3.5 trillion So, by end of this year, there are good reasons to believe that China Total import (includes Hong Kong) will be bigger than USA, and become world number 1 as well.
