Hundreds of new train stations and thousands of high-speed trains a day

I am here in Shenzhen North Station train station. Shenzhen alone has six stations like this. This architectural style is all over China. Fifteen years ago or so, they took this plan and built literally hundreds of train stations like this all over the country. If the town is smaller, they just reduce the size and thousands. If you add up all the trains that come through here every 24 hours, there are at least hundreds and maybe, maybe thousands, I would say probably closer to thousands every day just in Shenzhen.

How can China do it and the West can’t?

This is going to be my gate. A17 to go to Changsha in a little while, and you just have to ask. Why can China do this? And why can’t the West do this is because you literally have to choose between guns and butter, or in this case, guns and infrastructure. And when the West is being defeated by Russia, when the West is being defeated by Iran, when the West is being defeated by China in the South China Sea, spending billions, really trillions of dollars to project its waning military might across the planet.

China doesn’t do that. So, they’ve got the money to invest in people, the people’s needs and infrastructure and transportation is a big one.  This is a high-speed train station and high-speed trains in China are like buses, they just literally go everywhere.

There are about 60 daily trains from Shenzhen to Changsha, and you can see the blue board up there with the trains in just the next couple of hours. And this is pretty late at night. I’m leaving at almost 9 p.m.

The West loves doing business in China

Pepsi. There’s Pepsi advertising for its drink. Pepsi Cola.

Conclusion

So what is it going to be? Is it going to be the people or is it going to be military profits? Because that’s what you have to choose. And right now, China is choosing people over military profits.
