Note: I lived and worked in Shenzhen, 2016-2019. Amazing place!
We have already left Shenzhen, took a 34-hour sleeper train to Xining, Qinghai Province and will start reporting from there after finishing with Shenzhen.

#1:with some scathing socio-political commentary…
A few trips back with Evelyne, I took this same photo in the Shenzhen metro, which showed the number 17,000,001, with a young person giving the number one sign, indicating that Shenzhen’s population had surpassed the 17 million mark. A year and a half later and this new metro sign it touting that its population has grown to 17,560,000 +1. Another 560,000 citizens added to the rolls.
When I moved here in 2016, they estimated the population to be about 12 million. They weren’t even sure, since it was growing so fast. That means Shenzhen has added over five million citizens in just nine years.
What is even more stupendous about this growth is that we didn’t and don’t even notice. Unlike in other countries with rapid urban growth, there is no homelessness, no poverty, no filth and garbage, no crime and drugs, no gangs and violence. Infrastructure is expanding alongside this population explosion, with apartments, public transportation (metro and buses), services, parks, sanitation, utilities, hospitals, schools and roads.
But, the most impressive statistic is housing, with millions and millions of what we would call low-income, subsidized housing (very nice 75-105 square meters, 2-3 bedrooms, one bath, living room, kitchen and laundry – I’ve lived in two of them, Beijing and Shenzhen) made available to the masses, creating instant neighborhoods full of vibrant life, street level humanity, retail services and commerce. It’s all about ordinary people who can afford to buy a nice place to live in to become invested in their communities, creating families, working and paying taxes to have all these wonderful daily amenities.
As a result, 90% of adult Chinese own their own homes and 70% of them own them free and clear – twice Judeo-Western rates in both cases compared to the USA and France.
Only a communist-socialist country like China can make this happen for their people. China has recently helped socialist Venezuela build four million subsidized homes for the less well-off to purchase, investing themselves in their communities. In contrast, how many subsidized homes have France and the United States built for their citizens to buy affordably? Any?
The Judean Master Race is working feverishly to destroy White, Christian civilization and one of their tools is to force mass migration from Latin America into the United States, and from Africa and Middle East into Europe. Along with heading Wokeism, pornography, pedophilia, Covid and its bioweapon injections, and forever wars, like in Ukraine and Palestine, they are succeeding beyond their wildest hopes to destroy and tear Western culture apart (https://radiosinoland.com/2025/01/23/judaism/). I’m not some gifted savant. I’ve published three books, been reporting and writing for 15 years and it took me until last year – 70 years of age – to figure it all out.
While Shenzhen has added over five million inhabitants in less than 10 years, and no one even noticed, the collective West is collapsing into planned mass migration squalor, poverty, homelessness, criminality and violence, all orchestrated by the Judean families who own the City of London. They hand their ventriloquist dummy leaders like Trump, Von der Leyen, Macron, Starmer and Merz their lines to be memorized for the public stage, and these latter are well-paid, psychopathic actors playing their ignominious roles, caring neither for their citizens nor their countries.
All of Western leadership, save Orban, Vucic and Fico are tragedy thespians, destroying the lives and livelihoods of their own peoples, while genociding millions of innocents across Planet Earth every year.
Weimar Germany was occupied, colonized and destroyed from the inside, setting the stage for World War II. Today, the entire West has been Weimarized and is intentionally being turned into a dystopian, socio-economic Judeo-hellhole, All of this cannot really be fully fathomed unless you get outside of it, into a real, people’s consultative, consensual democracy like China’s, to see what is happening. Otherwise, Westerners are simply brainwashed, oblivious and in total denial of how dire their situation really is.
This, while China – since 1949 – is the only country in human history to achieve such stupendous, jaw-dropping progress, development, education, infrastructure, science & technology, innovation and quality of life for its 1.4 billion citizens without committing any offensive wars, nor invading and occupying any foreign lands.During the same time frame, that is all the Judeo-West has done and continues to so.
Let these realities sink in for a moment to understand today’s headlines.

#2: Chinese are cat lovers, both on the Mainland and in Taiwan Province. They occupy the lives of the people both inside and outside the household.
Evelyne has kept cats all her life, with 16 entering her life. So, when we see a cat, we stop and say hello. This Chinese woman was walking with hers, so this lucky feline got a double hug.

#3a-3b: this Sino-Persian was housed in a veritable 2.5m-high chateau in a trendy flower shop and café. Her habitat four stories with all the amenities, each floor offering something different. Talk about luxury! The owner lets her out for exercise.

#4: this calico mother cat, which was nursing, figured out that snoozing on top of her owner’s store ice cream cooler is a great way to beat the tropical heat! While Westerners tend to associate cats with women, Chinese men love cats too.

#5a-5b-5c: feline motifs are very common inside places of business. So, if you are cat lover, China is your place to visit!

#6a-6b: while not quite as critter crazy as the Taiwanese, who keep a full retinue of exotic pets (although we saw a man walking around here with a love bird on his shoulder!), Mainlanders love their dogs, cats and fish. Cats lounge around mom and pop stores and restaurants and people take their dogs out for walks all the time, even large breeds like huskies and Australian shepherds. Easily the most popular breed is the French poodle, from miniatures to full sizes. Tabby cats and a few Persians dominate the feline class, but we see breeds neither of us know.
Chinese also love to keep fish. They don’t take up a lot of room in small apartments and you don’t have to take them out for walks. Goldfish are not just for kids. For millennia, goldfish in China represent emotional healing, transformation, adaptation and prosperity, as their bright colors and gentle, lilting movements in the water cause us to reflect on life’s meaning.
Pictured above are two fish tanks with albino goldfish and another smaller species, coming in a rainbow of colors. The second one looks like an Impressionist painting from 19th century France! Very spiritual and meditative indeed.

#7a: groups of neighbors getting out in the evening after dinner to dance together in the public square is a fixture of Chinese life. It’s called square dancing, not because they are making the same moves as country square dancing in the West, but because they are out on public squares. Weather permitting, they often keep going until 22:00, night after night. It is not only great exercise, but a chance to talk and socialize between songs. Someone always shows up with portable, battery-powered speaker.
Women dominate the evening dancing. In the morning, 6-7 o’clock, mostly men come out for tai chi, sometimes with poles or mock swords.

#7b: this is extremely popular in China everywhere you go. This is in Shenzhen with 17,000,000 people, and they love to do these dances in public squares. Most of them are just doing it for exercise, good health and camaraderie.
It’s 10 o’clock at night and in the evenings, most of them are women, although if you can see back in the back, there’s a guy wearing a black T-shirt, following them. There’s even another lady way back in the back who’s doing it on her own, who’s following them.
But these ladies look like they’re probably getting ready for a choreography they want to do, which I have reported on. The local community will put on an extravaganza, where they do dances, routines, skits and comedy, all volunteered and self-organized. Since half these ladies are wearing blue T-shirts, I would suggest they’re probably getting ready for their neighborhood’s local performance.
Performance practice or not, this activity is just everywhere.
Theirs is not turned up very loud. A lot of them really crank it up. Thus, you’ll be in this one square with three different groups dancing, and they’re all playing different songs. It’s a cacophony of sound, but they stay focused, just listen to their music and don’t worry about anybody else. Nobody complains.
They call it square dancing because they do it in a public square.
